HIRO 88, an ever-growing pan-Asian restaurant chain, is well known in its home state of Nebraska for its grand entrances, award-winning menu, wine list, and sushi. To aid its expansion into new cities across the midwest, HIRO 88 required an app that would both deliver an immersive experience—an extension of what earns the brand rave reviews by its patrons—digitally and reward its customers with a loyalty program.

The Resulting App
With the belief that simplicity is the key to beauty, TENSHI® built an app with a focus on function, an ultra-simplified UI, elegant visuals, and guided interactivity to draw users into an experience that simulates the unique HIRO 88 dining experience. Customers can order for delivery and pick-up, earn rewards towards future purchases, receive free items based on loyalty, save favorite menu items, reorder to save time, mark frequented restaurant locations, and much more. The app allows the HIRO 88 staff to control all its elements—from menu entries to setting transaction fee and customer rewards equations—all from a central dashboard.

Order For Delivery & Pick-Up
Place asap pick-up orders at your nearest HIRO 88 location to have your order ready in 10 minutes after checkout or choose a future date and time, and pick up your order at your convenience. Delivery and order-from-table features are available in select HIRO 88 locations.
Customers can select from asap orders and future orders, which allows orders up to 24 hours in advance.
Besides not having to wait in long HIRO 88 lines to place an order, you can use the quick checkout feature in the app to make ordering even faster. Simply add a payment method or place an order in the app and save the payment method used, and orders can be placed with a click of a button.
Earn Rewards Towards Future Purchases
Get rewarded for every purchase made through the app. Rewards can be redeemed as dollar value toward purchases or as free items from the HIRO 88 menu.
Save Your Favorite Menu Items
Save your favorites for quick and easy future orders. Simply click the star icon next to the menu item. Update your favorites in your profile settings within the app.
Reorder To Save Time
Reordering just got faster. Simply hit the reorder button and find your previous order to reorder it. If any items have been changed since the last order was placed, the app will notify you before placing your reorder.
Mark Your Frequented Restaurant Locations
Mark your frequented HIRO 88 locations and order from that location by default. Or change the order pick-up location to any other HIRO 88 location at any time.
Central Dashboard Allows Maximum Control
The central dashboard allows HIRO 88 staff to add, remove, update, and modify menu items, add modifiers such as gluten-free, update images and/or descriptions, add new categories, create coupons for customers, create any combination of % vs $ value transaction fee structures, create any combination of points, $ value, and/or free items as rewards for customers, to name a few features.
Adding or updating all menu items, their prices, descriptions, and their images in the dashboard updates the app in real-time. No available image for a menu item? No problem. The app is modular and responsive in design and compensates for additions or removals of menu item images, leaving a clean and sleek look.
